                                          We have pointed out that G won three successive elections representing the Congress party in the years 1957, 1962  and 1967 . but he could not complete the third term fully because of two reasons.The Congress party faced a vertical split in the year 1970  into two factions one led Kamaraj  and the other by Indira Gandhi ,the factions being renamed respectively as Organisational Congress and Indian National Conress ,shortly  Congress ( O ) and Congress ( I ) ..This  split l e d  to  a  Nationwide Election. .G was very unhappy with the development who being  a  true follower of Mahathma Gandhi ,who suggested to dissolve the Congress party immediately after  India achieved Her Independence..Anyway he was in Congress ( O ).. Due to fresh elections he was no more an MLA.but was  otherwise active as a member of the party..In the election he influenced the people of the Ambasamudram constituency to vote in favour of Sangamuthu thevar, brother of Sankarapandithevar,whom he supported as a party candidate.It was immaterial for him whether he was an MLA  or not G had the same respect ever.He also remained his usual  self. He was " thulya nindhaa sthuthir mauni  "  and "  santhshtas sama dhu:kkaeshu " as Bhagavadgitha advises.ie He treated praise and insult equally and gave equal weight to both happiness and  distress.. I learnt a lot from him.When he was an experienced and ripe aged person ,I was a young ,inexperienced  lad  in my teenages .I used to tell hi,m about my problems and worries that were plaguing my mind in my adolescent state and he use to give me proper advice to be always courageous and confident and to throw away all the worries and be always free.This has worked and shaped my life well leading to a contented satisfied life through out.That he died in May 1971 is another reason that he could not have served the third term which ended only in 1972.( even if there was not a split )

                      With Sivaji Ganesan as hero ,the cinema " Kappaoattiya Tamizhan was produced..At that time, G was taken to his house by SG a number of times for getting firsthand information about VOC with whom G personally and closely associated.After completion of production ,it was screened at the Santhi theatre owned by SG himself   along with very many theatres in Tamilnadu..SG specially invited G for the show .I also had an opportunity to enjoy tha very successful picture sitting along with the hero of the picture and G ,a hero who had won million minds. ,,,,
