                             Those who undertake travel by flight to India at this period should undergo Covid test not earlier  than 72 hours prior to the date of travel., the test being conducted by the govt. notified authorities.They should submit a certificate of NO COVID for the flight.You are checked at various points  to have a foolproof health condition, fit for travel to see that you neither acquire nor spread to your co travellers.Berkeley is a place which S had not visited . It was decided to have our covid test  in the  morning of 01-12-2020 at Oakland near Berkeley.Having finished the test, we visited the nearby Berkeley area whose details I have already given in a previous Article. We had sufficient  time to come round Berkeley. I am not giving details since it will be a repetition. As in the previous trip we returned via Golden Bridge, the Port, the city of Sanfrancisco with all their glory and enjoyment, the airport , the valleys around and ultimately reached home to have a sumptuous lunch.

                       The date of departure nearing, with only two  days in between, packing was attaining a final stage.Our flight  to India was scheduled at departure time 9 30 am PST on 04-12-2020.But there was delay in the arrival of he incoming flight in which we were to fly back. This caused a consequent delay in our departure too. Our departure was revised to 8 45 pm ( PST )   of 04-12.   ( I S T 10 15  am 05 -12  ) This resulted in remaning half a day more in the American soil and to spend more time with our people. 

                      The indirect benefit of this is a visit to one more place of interest.After lunch on 03-12     at 2  30 pm C,S and myself left the house to take a totally different route in the south east  direction. The entire trip was on the Highways only , under which it was a complete marshy land with wild life  also, which marks the end of the bay area.We crossed these marshy areas to cover some more cities and counties.Crossing these bay and marshy areas on the Highways, we were able to look at some more counties and cities some on the hills , some on the plains and a few down the valleys , well lit in the  late evening, were covered. Newyork district,Ardenwood, Sulma and Miltos are some of the famous   towns at which there are a number of   famous industrial establishments and  leading software concerns ..Google cloud, Cisco, Arms are some, worth mentioning. East of Palo Alto  we have a grand look of  the long Dumbartan Bridge . parallel to Hayward Bridge.

              We continued   on the Highways to touch Fremont city and through  Hayward Bridge, ( route no 92 ) and reached Fostercity safe for night dinner. Finishing packing almost, we took rest .

                      We had the full forenoon of 04-12 at our disposal for final touch up. Sreemathi's friend Karpagam's Mother travelled with  us in the same flight. The entire family is well known to us for long  past.  We  left  flat 2401, No 1000, Marlin Gove Apartment, Fostercity  C A  at 4 15 pm  approaching the SFO aerodrome. , saying bye to Aparaajithaa and Aaraadhanaa. H and S  left  first in a separate taxi with luggages and on reaching they began to unload them. C and myself went by our car.We had enough time for all formalities and some time to chat too. Karpagam's Mother also arrived with her  son Jagan . We said bye to  C ,H and  J . Checkings were all over.I  was  assisted by porter due to my leg problem   until I reached the aircraft. The aircraft took off at  8 45 pm PST .  In the aircraft , night dinner , morning breakfast were given. More than 15 hours journey upto Delhi. Passengers were all wearing protective masks due to pandemic.We landed safe at Delhi Airport  at IST 1 45 am of 6th December in India, We had to wait for the connection flight for  7 hours.   

                                 Due to the help of three porters in Delhi airport, our transit was very easy. Thanks a lot to them. We paid them each rs 1000/ . Worthy. The connection flight left Delhi at10 15 am to safe land at Chennai MAA AT 12 45 pm. JS had come to receive us. Picking all our luggages , we exited the Airport at 2 15pm on 6th December Sunday ( corresponding to 12 45 am of Sunday at Fostercity.

         We observed 14 days    self quarentine as stipulated by the Government.  Covid test was conducted in  between  and was found to be negative. I conclude this travelogue by profusely thanking God  for making me stay conveniently and happily with my son C, daughter-in-law H and my grand daughters  A1  and  A2.
